Broccoli is rich in vitamin c and calcium.This is a deep fried snack which can be served with evening  hot tea.



  1. Broccoli florets –  1 cup
  2. Rice flour – 1tbsp
  3. Wheat flour – 1 cup
  4. Red chilly powder –1 tsp
  5. Baking soda – 1 pinch
  6. water
  7. Salt
  8. Oil for frying



  1. Chop broccoli into florets individually.
  2. Make a batter with wheat flour, rice flour,baking powder,red chilly powder (if you want more spicy you can add more chilly powder)water and salt.
  3. The batter should be of thick consistency like dosa batter.
  4. Dip each  broccoli florets into the batter to get coated evenly.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan. Deep fry till done.
  6. Serve with  tomato sauce and hot tea as a evening snack.
