mushroom 25

This rich and spicy curry has 25 ingredients in it and hence its name mushroom 25.

Ingredients

  1. Butter Mushroom – 250 gms
  2. Onion(chopped) – 4
  3. Shallots – 15
  4. Green chilly – 5
  5. Tomato( chopped) – 3
  6. Ginger paste – 1 tsp
  7. Garlic paste – 1 tsp
  8. Butter – 2tbsp
  9. Cashew nuts – 10
  10. Almond – 15
  11. Plain flour ( Maida) – 1/4 cup
  12. Turmeric powder – 1 1/2 tsp
  13. Pepper powder – 1 tsp
  14. Chilly powder – 1tbsp
  15. Coriander powder – 2tbsp
  16. Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp
  17. Kasoori methi – 1/2 tsp
  18. Oil
  19. Coriander leaves – 1tbsp
  20. Pudina leaves – 1tsp
  21. Lime juice – 1tsp
  22. Sugar – 2 pinch
  23. Curry leaves
  24. Salt
  25. Fresh cream

Preparation

  1. Soak cashew nuts, almond in warm water for 10 minutes. Grind it to a fine paste
  2. Heat oil in a pan and saute 3 chopped onions, sugar, 1 pinch of salt till golden brown in color.Grind it to a powder.
  3. Mix well maida,1/2 tsp pepper powder, salt,water and marinate mushroom pieces with the mix.Fry in oil till light brown in color.
  4. Heat butter in a pan.Add 1 chopped onion,chopped shallots and saute well..Add ginger garlic paste,green chilly ,chopped tomatoes and saute well.
  5. Once it is done add the powdered onion mix to it. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilly powder,garam masala powder,chopped coriander leaves, chopped pudina leaves,lime juice and saute .once raw smell goes, add fried mushroom, salt,1/2 cup water and stir well.
  6. Cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
  7. Add almond ?cashew paste, kasoori methi, curry leaves and cook till gravy is dry.
  8. Transfer it into a serving bowl and Garnish with fresh cream.

Ingredients:

  1. Butter Mushroom – 500 gms
  2. Red Chilly powder – 1 tsp
  3. Ginger (chopped) 1 tbsp
  4. Onion (medium,chopped) – 2
  5. Coriander powder – 1 1/2 tsp
  6. Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  7. Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
  8. Coconut milk – 1/4 cup
  9. Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
  10. Dry red chilly -2
  11. Curry leaves – 4 sprigs
  12. Oil
  13. Salt

Preparation:

  1. Clean and wash mushrooms thoroughly.Marinate mushroom pieces with chilly powder,pepper powder,garam masala powder,salt and keep aside for half an hour.
  2. Cook marinated mushrooms with coconut milk till dry.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds,dry red chilly,curry leaves.Add chopped ginger,chopped onions and saute well..once onion turns brown in colour, add the cooked mushrooms to it and stir well..
  4. Serve with rice as side dish.

I had this chicken curry from one of my friend’s house and i really liked it..iam going to share the recipe here…This is a good combination with roti or fried rice…enjoy!

Following are the Ingredients i used to prepare this yummy curry.

  1. Chicken (cut into medium pieces) 1/2 kg
  2. Mushroom – 50gms
  3. Onion(chopped) – 100gms
  4. Ginger -garlic paste – 2tsp
  5. Tomato(chopped) -1
  6. Green chilly – 3 nos
  7. Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  8. Kashmiri chilly powder – 2tbsp
  9. Coriander powder – 3tbsp
  10. Coconut milk – 1/2 cup
  11. Garam masala powder – 1/4tsp
  12. shallot(cut into thin pieces) -3
  13. Dry red chilly -2
  14. Coconut oil – 100gms
  15. Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
  16. Salt – to taste

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai..Add chopped onions and saute well..Boil mushrooms with little salt, turmeric and keep aside
  2. Add ginger -garlic paste,green chilly(slit lengthwise),turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder,chopped tomatoes and mix well.
  3. Then add chicken pieces with sufficient amount of water and salt and cover and cook till chicken is done
  4. Once it is cooked well, add boiled mushrooms,coconut milk to it and boil for 1-2 mins
  5. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well.
  6. For tempering,Heat oil in a pan.Fry shallots,dry red chilly and curry leaves.pour this mix to the gravy.
  7. serve warm.
