Wheat Nankhatai/Eggless Indian wheat Cookies
Nan khatai is a popular Indian cookie prepared using flour,sugar and ghee.Here I made these cookies using wheat flour.These healthy cookies are eggless,easy to make. kids will definitely love this tea time snack.This recipe is adapted from Vanitha Cookbook.
Ingredients

Wheat Flour – 1 1/4 cup

Semolina/Rava – 1/2 cup

Baking Powder – 1 pinch

Cardamom powder/Elakka – 1/4 tsp

Ghee – 1/2 cup

Sugar(powdered) – 1/2 cup
Preparation

Preheat Oven to 150 degree c.

In a bowl, mix wheat flour,rava,baking powder and cardamom powder.Sift the flour mix before adding it.

In another bowl,mix well sugar and ghee till fluffy.Add the wheat flour mix to it and knead well to make a soft dough.

Make small balls out of it.Press slightly each balls using your palms.

Grease a baking tray and place the cookies.Bake for about 20-25 minutes till golden brown.

Remove from oven and let it cool.
