Four Homemade Face and Hair Treatments
A family recipe since March 2007
Easy, natural at-home masks and rinses for brighter skin and stronger hair using pantry staples like egg, honey, papaya, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar.

Ingredients
- Egg - 1 whole
- Honey - 1/2 tsp
- Water for rinsing
- Ripe papaya
- Lime juice - 1 tsp
- Apple cider vinegar - 2 tsp
- Olive oil - 2 tsp
- Egg white - 2 whole
- Mild shampoo
Instructions
- 1Gather the ingredients and a clean towel so everything is ready before you begin each treatment.
- 2Face egg and honey mask: separate the egg and whisk the white with 1/2 tsp honey until slightly frothy.
- 3Gently spread the egg and honey mixture over clean skin, leave it on for 20 minutes, then wash with lukewarm water and pat your face dry.
- 4Repeat once in a week.
- 5Papaya facial: remove the seeds from a ripe papaya and mash or puree it into a smooth paste.
- 6Apply the papaya paste to your face, leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and pat dry for a fresh, exfoliated feel.
- 7Hair growth rinse: combine 1 tsp lime juice with 2 tsp apple cider vinegar, apply to the scalp, massage briefly to distribute, leave for 20 minutes, then wash with a mild shampoo.
- 8Prevent hair loss mask: mix 2 tsp olive oil with the whites from 2 eggs, work the mixture into the scalp and massage gently, leave for 20 minutes, then rinse and shampoo as usual.
- 9Optional: finish hair treatments with a cool water rinse for extra shine.
