Strawberry Milkshake
A family recipe since September 2010
A cool, creamy strawberry milkshake made with fresh berries, milk and a touch of sweetened condensed milk for extra richness. Fast to blend and perfect for a hot summer afternoon.
10 min total1 serving
Ingredients
- Strawberries - 6 whole
- Milk - 1/4 cup
- Sweetened condensed milk (Milkmaid) - 1 tbsp
- Vanilla ice cream - 1 whole
- Sugar - 3 tbsp
- Ice cubes - 3 whole
Instructions
- 1Trim the stems and roughly chop the strawberries so they blend easily, then add them to the blender.
- 2Add the vanilla ice cream, milk, sweetened condensed milk and sugar to the blender with the strawberries.
- 3Add the ice cubes and blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed so everything incorporates evenly.
- 4Pour the milkshake into a chilled glass, garnish with a few sliced strawberries if you like, and serve chilled.
- 5Optional: garnish with a sliced strawberry on the rim for a pretty finish.
