soya paneer

Ingredients:

  1. Paneer (cut into cubes) – 50 gms
  2. Soya chunks – 1/4 cup
  3. Green peas (boiled)- 1/4 cup
  4. Onion (medium) – 1
  5. green chilly -3
  6. Tomato -1
  7. Ginger -garlic paste – 1 tsp
  8. Coriander powder – 2tsp
  9. Red chilly powder – 1/4 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  11. Grated coconut – 2 tbsp
  12. Fennel seeds(perumjeerakam) – 1 tsp
  13. oil
  14. salt
  15. coriander leaves to garnish

preparation:

  1. Soak soya chunks in hot water for 10 mins and then squeeze the water out.
  2. Grind coconut and fennel seeds into a fine paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. saute chopped onions,green chilly ,ginger-garlic paste,chopped tomato and all the masala powders well.
  4. Add Soy chunks, and paneer cubes to it and mix.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of water and cover and cook for 10 mins.
  6. once it is cooked well open the lid and add the coconut paste to it .
  7. Add boiled green peas to it and boil for 5 mins.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
