A quick, vibrant side of broccoli and potatoes seasoned with cumin, turmeric and garam masala. It comes together fast and pairs perfectly with plain rice or roti.

Ingredients
- Broccoli - 250 g
- Potato - 3 whole
- Onion - 2 whole
- Green chili - 2 whole

- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp

Instructions
- 1Peel the potatoes if you like and cut them into medium pieces, then place them in a pot of water, bring to a boil and cook until tender; drain and set aside.
- 2Cut the broccoli into florets and chop the onion and green chilies so everything is ready to go.
- 3Heat oil in a large pan, add the cumin seeds and let them splutter and scent the oil.
- 4Add the chopped onion and green chilies and sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, then stir in the turmeric, red chili powder and garam masala and cook until the raw spice smell disappears.
- 5Add the broccoli and salt, toss to coat with the spices, cover the pan and cook until the broccoli is tender.
- 6Add the boiled potatoes and mix gently to combine, then cook for 2-3 mins.
- 7Serve hot with rice.
- 8Optional: finish with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro for brightness.
