Rajma Masala (Red Kidney Beans Curry)
Ingredients:
- Rajma(kidney beans) – 1 cup
- Onion – 2
- Tomato(medium) – 2
- Carrot (medium) – 2
- Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Capsicum – 1
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
- Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Oil
- Salt
Preparation:
- Soak rajma overnight and pressure cook till soft.
- Blanch tomato and carrot and grind it to make a paste.
- Heat oil in a pan. Saute ginger garlic paste, chopped onion,chopped capsicum and curry leaves.
- Add tomato-carrot paste to it and mix well. Add all masala powders,salt and water .
- Once it starts boiling, add boiled rajma to it and mix. cover and cook for 2-3 mins.
- Serve with rice or roti.
OMG the rajma masala looks very creamy and tasty!!! Love the way you made the gravy without drying them up!!! Super delicious and yummy!!!
gravy was thick and nice but guess the tomato’s left a soury taste to the gravy. how do you rectify that?

Thanks for trying out my recipe. If you find the gravy too soury, you just add little sugar to it to adjust the taste.
