Kappa (Tapioca) Vevichathu/Kappa Puzhukku

 

 
Ingredients:
  1. Tapioca(kappa) – 1/2 kg
  2. Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
  3. Dry Red Chilly – 2
  4. Mustard Seeds – 1/4tsp
  5. CurryLeaves – 1 sprig
  6. Coconut Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation:
  1. Peel the tapioca, clean and cut into medium pieces.
  2. Pressure cook tapioca pieces with 2 cups of water, turmeric powder and salt till it becomes soft and tender.
  3. Drain out Excess water.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, dry red chilly and curry leaves.
  5. Add tapioca and simmer for 2-3 mins.
  6. Serve with Kerala Fish (sardine) curry or onion chutney
