Mango Kesari/Mango Sooji Halwa




  1. Ghee – 4 tbsp.
  2. Rava/Semolina – 1 cup
  3. Water – 3 cups
  4. Mango Pulp – 1 cup
  5. Sugar – 1 cup
  6. Cardamom – 1/2 tsp
  7. Raisins – 10
  8. Cashew – 8





  1. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in frying pan, and fry cashews and raisins.
  2. In the same pan, roast 1 cup of rava.Keep aside
  3. Boil 3 cups of water in a pot, and let it boil.Add the roasted rava to it.
  4. Once rava is soft and cooked,  add sugar  and let it melt.
  5. once it is mixed well, Add 1 cup of mango pulp and mix. Add 3 tbsp. of ghee  to the mix.
  6. Once  it starts to leave the sides of the pan, add  fried raisins and cashews.
  7. Finally add cardamom powder to it .Mix well.
  8. Remove from stove and let it cool.
  9. Once cooled, cut the kesari into your preferred shapes.
