Pazham Pori (Plaintain Fritters)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This has been my all time favorite and it is  a popular tea time snack of Kerala.

Ingredients:

  1. Refined Flour (Maida)-2 cup
  2. Ripe plaintain(nenthrapazham)- 2
  3. Sugar – 2 tbsp
  4. Salt-one pinch
  5. Water
  6. Coconut Oil
  7. Yellow color or turmeric powder – one pinch

Preparation:

  1. Peel banana and cut them into 2 halves.Then slit into 4 pieces.
  2. Make a batter with maida,salt sugar,turmeric powder by adding water gradually to form a thick consistency.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.when oil is hot,dip each banana pieces in the batter  and drop into oil.
  4. Deep fry till both sides are golden in color.
  5. Serve with hot tea.
