Kerala Style Pepper Prawns/How to Make Pepper Prawns

This is a spicy prawn dry masala prepared using prawns and crushed pepper in a spicy masala.It is a good combo with rice or roti.

Pepper Prawns (1)

Ingredients

  1. Prawns – 1/2 kg
  2. Onion(chopped) – 1
  3. Ginger-garlic paste – 1tbsp
  4. Green chilly(cut lengthwise) – 2
  5. Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  6. Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  7. Pepper (crushed) – 1 tbsp
  8. Pepper powder – 1 tsp
  9. Tomato(chopped) – 1
  10. Garam Masala – 1tsp
  11. Salt
  12. Curry Leaves – 1 sprig
  13. Coconut Oil

Preparation

  1. Marinate prawns with  turmeric powder,pepper powder,salt and keep aside for 20 minutes.Heat Oil in a pan.Saute chopped onions,ginger-garlic paste,chopped green chilly and curry leaves.
  2. Once it is done, add coriander powder,crushed pepper,garam masala to it.
  3. Add chopped tomato pieces to it. Saute well till tomato pieces are soft.
  4. Add prawns to it .Add 1/4 cup of water to it and stir well..
  5. Cover and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes till dry.Stir in between not to get burned.
  6. serve with rice or roti.
