Spicy Ottada

This is a unique breakfast recipe with maida and rice flour.

Ingredients:

  1. Maida – 1/2 cup
  2. Rice flour – 1/2 cup
  3. Milk – 1 cup
  4. Shallots – 12
  5. Green chilly – 3
  6. Curry leaves
  7. Yeast – 1/2 tsp
  8. Baking powder – a pinch
  9. Coconut oil – 2 tsp
  10. Water – 1/2 cup
  11. Ghee – 2tsp
  12. Salt – as required

Preparation:

  1. Boil milk with water and keep aside.
  2. To make batter, take a vessel and mix maida and rice flour by adding milk slowly without forming lumps.
  3. Add yeast, baking powder to it and keep covered for 2 hours.
