Bread Masala
Ingredients:
- Bread slices – 6
- Onion(chopped) – 3
- Tomato(chopped) – 2
- Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 3/4 tsp
- Pepper powder – 11/2 tsp
- Vegetable masala powder -1 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/2tsp
- Ghee – 4tbsp
- Coriander leaves
- Salt
Preparation:
- Remove the bread crust and cut into square pieces.
- Heat 2tbsp ghee in a pan and fry bread pieces on medium heat till light brown in color (this is just like toasting bread )
- In the remaining ghee, splutter mustard seeds. saute chopped onions and once it becomes brown color, add hopped tomatoes and saute well.
- Add red chilly powder, coriander powder, veg.masala powder and once the raw smell goes add pepper powder, salt to it and stir well.
- Add the fried bread pieces to it and mix well. Turn off the heat.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
Simple and delicious! Toasting the bread in ghee with addition of masalas would make it heavenly!
