Bread Masala

Ingredients:

  1. Bread slices – 6
  2. Onion(chopped) – 3
  3. Tomato(chopped) – 2
  4. Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
  5. Coriander powder – 3/4 tsp
  6. Pepper powder – 11/2 tsp
  7. Vegetable masala powder -1 tsp
  8. Mustard seeds – 1/2tsp
  9. Ghee – 4tbsp
  10. Coriander leaves
  11. Salt

Preparation:

  1. Remove the bread crust and cut into square pieces.
  2. Heat 2tbsp ghee in a pan and fry bread pieces on medium heat till light brown in color (this is just like toasting bread )
  3. In the remaining ghee, splutter mustard seeds. saute chopped onions and once it becomes brown color, add hopped tomatoes and saute well.
  4. Add red chilly powder, coriander powder, veg.masala powder and once the raw smell goes add pepper powder, salt to it and stir well.
  5. Add the fried bread pieces to it and mix well. Turn off the heat.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

    Simple and delicious! Toasting the bread in ghee with addition of masalas would make it heavenly!
