Carrot Payasam(Carrot Kheer)


  1. Carrot(medium) – 4
  2. Cashew nuts (soaked in water for 15 mins) – 15
  3. Milk – 2 cup
  4. Water – 1 cup
  5. Ghee – 1 tbsp
  6. Cashew nuts(chopped and fried) – 8
  7. Sugar – 5 tbsp
  8. Cardamom – 6


  1. Peel and grate carrots.Heat ghee in a pan and saute till it changes it color. let it cool.
  2. Put soaked cashew nuts and grated carrot into a blender with water and blend till smooth.
  3. Boil milk and add in the blended carrot and sugar to it and boil till it thickens.
  4. Add powdered cardamom to it and combine well.Remove from heat.
  5. Chill it thoroughly and garnish with fried cashewnuts before serving.
