Try this crunchy and yummy banana frittersSmile


  1. All purpose flour/Maida –1 cup
  2. Banana/nenthrapazham(medium ripe,cut lengthwise) – 2
  3. Curd – 1 tbsp
  4. Sugar – 4 tbsp
  5. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  6. Salt – a pinch
  7. water
  8. Coconut Oil – for deep frying
  9. Corn flakes – for coating
  10. Oil

  1. In a bowl,add maida,turmeric powder,sugar,curd,salt and required amount of water to get a thick batter consistency.keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Cut banana into lengthwise.
  3. Dip the banana pieces in batter and then roll in corn flakes to get coated well.
  4. Deep Fry till both sides are done.
  5. Serve as tea time snack for kids.

Note: Instead of 1 cup maida, you can use 1/2 cup maida and 1/2 cup wheat flour if you like.
