Parsi Prawn Patio Curry
Ingredients:
- Prawn – 1/2 kg
- Turmeric powder –1 tsp
- Red chilly Powder – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Garlic paste-1 tsp
- Onion(medium,finely chopped) – 1
- Tomato (medium,finely chopped) –2
- Tamarind Pulp – 1/4 cup
- Jaggery(grated) – 4 tbsp
- Coriander leaves (chopped) – 1/4 cup
- Salt
- Oil
Preparation:
- First thoroughly clean and devein prawns .
- Marinate prawns with turmeric powder,red chilly powder and salt.
- Heat oil in a Kadai/Pan.once oil is hot, add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
- Add garlic paste to it and saute well.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown in color.
- Add chopped tomatoes to it and mix well.
- Cover and cook on medium flame till oil is clear.
- Once oil starts to separate,add marinated prawns and mix.Let it cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add tamarind pulp and grated jaggery to it . Cook for 3 minutes.
- Finally add chopped coriander leaves.
- Remove from fire.
- Serve with rice or Roti.
