Vada Manchurian
Has anyone tried making vada Manchurian?If not,try it out and let me know.The most popular Manchurian recipe is Gobi Manchurian and it is quite common in restaurant menus.This Vada Manchurian is a fusion of south Indian and Chinese recipe prepared using dal and vegetables sauteed in a spicy and thick gravy.
Ingredients

Urad dal(uzhunnu parippu) – 1 cup

Moong dal(cherupayar parippu) – 1 cup

Onion(chopped) –1

Green Chilly(chopped) – 4
-
Ginger-garlic paste – 2tsp
-
Curry leaves(chopped) – 1 tbsp
-
Corn flour – 3tbsp
-
Soy Sauce – 1 tbsp
-
Tomato Sauce – 1 tbsp
-
Chilly sauce – 1 tbsp
-
Capsicum (cut into cubes) –1
-
Tomato(cut into Cubes) – 1
-
Onion(cut into cubes) –1
-
Sugar – 1tsp
-
Salt
-
Oil – for frying
-
Coriander leaves – to garnish
Preparation

Soak urad dal and moong dal for Grind urad dal and moong daal into a coarse paste.

In a bowl,combine chopped onion,ginger garlic paste, green chilly ,salt with daal mix .

Make balls out of the mix.wet your hands with little oil and flatten the balls using your palms.

Heat oil in a pan and fry vadas till light brown as shown in pic above.

Heat oil in another pan. saute chopped onions,capsicum and tomato cubes(remove the seeds of tomato before adding it).

Once the veggies are half cooked, add soy sauce,tomato sauce,corn flour (mixed with water) to it.

stir well and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.Finally add sugar to it and mix well.

Remove from fire.

Garnish with coriander leaves

Serve with rice or roti
It’s really mouth watering dish. I will try it this sunday.
